Beginner Quilt Class Level 2 Start Date February 22, 2025

February 22 from 10 am to 1 pm
March 8 from 10 am to 1 pm
Class Description: Intermediate Quilting. Learn to sew a quilted table runner.
Join us for a fun and creative quilt class that builds off skills learned in the beginner quilting class. In this workshop, you’ll continue to learn the basics of quilting while making a beautiful quilted table runner. This project is perfect for those looking to gain additional quilting techniques such as alternative binding methods and perfecting half square triangles.
Small class size of 6 students max
What You’ll Learn:
1. Cutting Fabric with a Rotary Cutter:
You’ll learn how to use a rotary cutter and cutting mat to accurately cut fabric pieces for your quilt. This step ensures precision in your quilt blocks.
2. Sewing ¼-Inch Seams:
Accurate seams are essential for quilt blocks to fit together properly. You’ll practice sewing consistent ¼-inch seams, which is the standard for quilting.
3. Making Quilt Blocks:
Using your cut fabric pieces, you’ll assemble and sew blocks that will become the building units of your quilt. In this class you will also learn half square triangles.
4. Assembling the Quilt Top:
Once the blocks are complete, you’ll learn how to arrange and sew them together to form the quilt top.
5. Sandwiching and Basting:
The quilt sandwich consists of the quilt top, batting (the middle layer), and backing fabric. You’ll learn how to layer and baste them together in preparation for quilting.
6. Binding the Quilt:
The final step is finishing the edges of the quilt with binding to give it a clean, professional look. Various methods used.
What to Bring:
• Basic Sewing Kit: Include essentials like scissors, pins, thread, a seam ripper, and measuring tape. We will have a rotary cutter and matt for student use if you do not have your own.
• Sewing Machine: Make sure it’s in good working condition and you know how to thread and operate it. We do have a few extras you can use. They are available on a first come first serve basis, however we do encourage you to use your own.
• Fabric: You can either purchase a fabric kit from the instructor or bring your own. Check with the instructor for fabric requirements (e.g., type and amount). Approximately a combined total of 2 yard of fabric is needed.
Registered students are eligible for a 15% discount on class supplies items purchased in the store for upto two weeks after the class ends.
Extras to Note:
• If you’re new to quilting, consider visiting the store to see the sample quilted table runner on display. It will give you an idea of what you’ll be creating.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a completed table runner to take home and the confidence to tackle more quilting projects.
Supplies:
A detailed supply list will be provided upon registration, or kits will be available for purchase.
Cancellation Policy Full Payment of class fees due at time of registration to guarantee a place in the class. In person registration is also available.
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class start. Minimum number of students is usually four, maximums vary by class. Good Decade reserves the right to cancel 48 hours prior to any class if participation level is below minimum. We will issue a full refund for any class we cancel.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES
Our shop does not accept returns or exchanges. Please make sure you order sizes accordingly. Any questions about sizing, can be directed to us at wildlittles@gmail.com.
We do accept order cancellations up to 30 minutes after the order is placed. Once the 30 minutes has past, your order is processed and cannot be cancelled. Most of our products are handmade, as such, fabrics are uniquely printed for each customer, and the process begins right after an order is placed.
We feel this policy is important because it helps prevent shipping errors/delay times and inventory accuracy. Thank you for understanding. In validated rare situations, if an order is cancelled past the 30 minute timeframe or returned, YOU will be charged a 25% restocking fee.
Return shipping cost is the customer's responsibility. Tracked and insured shipping is highly recommended, as lost packages are not the responsibility of Wild Littles. Returns must be within 3 days of purchase and item must be in new condition, unwashed, with original tag attached, free of odour and stains. Once return is inspected, SHOP CREDIT will be issued for item purchase price less shipping.
DAMAGED ITEMS
We offer complimentary repairs to workmanship defects. Please email us if you have any concerns at all at wildlittles@gmail.com. Customer service is our top priority and will absolutely make it right!
Should an order arrive damaged: please send us a photograph of the packaging and the contents within three (3) days of receiving. If the three day window has been reached, we are not responsible. Each order will be addressed individually. We do our best with quality control, however we are humans and sometimes an item will get sent out that should not have cleared quality control. We will fix this for you! Once you receive your package, please inspect it right away after opening.
Because each item is hand cut and sewn by real people, tiny threads will occasionally appear loose. This is not defective, they only need to be trimmed.

We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages. If your package arrives damaged, including the outside packaging, it is not our responsibility. We advise that you contact or file a claim with Canada Post, USPS/Fed Ex/UPS. If your items arrive damaged with no obvious packaging issues, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order. Please note that you will need to provide a photo of the item and the original packaging in order to be considered for a return.

We are not responsible for packages being sent to outdated or incorrect addresses. Your order is shipped to the EXACT address provided through Shopify (labels are printed directly from the site). Please double check your shipping address when purchasing. If it is a gift sending directly to the recipient - double check.
If a package is missing due to an incorrect address we will NOT send a new one. If the package is returned due to an incorrect address we will NOT send a new one without an additional shipping payment.

wash cold, tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry. with laundering, our quilts gain texture and comfiness. do not iron minky items.
crib sheets
wash cold, do not bleach, tumble dry low. cotton items can be ironed on low. to prevent possible suffocation or entanglement, never use crib sheet unless it fits securely on crib mattress.
holiday pajamas
wash cold, do not bleach, tumble dry low or hang to dry. pajamas should fit snug.
swaddle blankets
machine wash cool water using mild, phosphate free detergent to minimize fading. item is not preshrunk. air dry to minimize shrinking.
