This is a great class to take after our beginner learn to sew class.
Create a pair of stylish, swishy wrap pants with plenty of personality! In this hands-on sewing class, you’ll transform the Helen’s Closet Winslow Culottes pattern into a beautiful pair of easy-to-wear wrap pants with long waist ties.
These pants have a relaxed, elegant silhouette and are wonderfully versatile. You can dress them up or down, and experiment with different ways of tying and styling them. They’re especially lovely in lightweight, drapey woven fabrics.
In this class, you’ll learn how to:

Prepare and finish the outer edges of the pant pieces

Create and attach waist ties

Get clean, professional-looking topstitched edges

Work with drapey woven fabrics

Assemble and finish your wrap pants

Style and tie your finished pants in different ways
The construction is surprisingly straightforward, making this a fun project for sewists who are ready to move beyond basic elastic-waist garments and explore garment construction techniques.
Prerequisite: Confident beginner. Students should be comfortable using a sewing machine and sewing accurate straight seams.
Students should arrive with fabric pre-washed and ready to sew. A supply list will be provided upon registration and once the class is confirmed with enough students registered.
What to Bring:
• Basic Sewing Kit: Include essentials like scissors, pins, thread, scissors, and a seam ripper.
• Sewing Machine: Make sure it’s in good working condition and you know how to thread and operate it. We won't have time in this class to help you with machine troubles.
• Fabric: Fabric is included in the cost of this class. Registered students are eligible for a 15% discount on class supplies items purchased in the store.
Cancellation Policy
Registrations can be canceled up to 48 hours after booking a class for a full refund.
Cancellations made after 48 hours are eligible for a credit or transfer to another class. Cancellations made within 1 week of the class do not qualify for credit or transfer.
NO EXCEPTIONS! We understand that life happens, people get sick, plans change, however due to time and resources that go into preparing for each class, and in order for us to maintain a viable business, we kindly ask for your understanding regarding our cancelation policy.
Minimum number of students is usually four, maximums vary by class. Good Decade reserves the right to cancel 48 hours prior to any class if participation level is below minimum. We will issue a full refund for any class we cancel.

Returns & exchanges
Good Decade does not accept returns. Exchanges are accepted within 14 days of purchase with a valid receipt, provided the item is in new, unwashed condition with its original tag attached, free of odour and stains.
To initiate an exchange, email us at gooddecadehomegoods@gmail.com. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. We recommend tracked and insured shipping — lost return packages are not our responsibility.
Final sale items (sale items, custom orders) are not eligible for exchange. No exceptions.

Cancellations are accepted within 30 minutes of placing your order. After that window, your order is already in processing and cannot be cancelled. Most of our products begin production immediately after an order is placed.
Damaged items
We stand behind our work. If your item arrives damaged or has a workmanship defect, please email gooddecadehomegoods@gmail.com with a photo of the packaging and contents within 3 days of receiving your order. We'll make it right.
Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival. Note: because items are hand-cut and sewn, occasional loose threads are normal and not a defect , they simply need to be trimmed.

We ship to the exact address provided at checkout. If your address needs to be updated, your order must be cancelled and re-placed, there are no exceptions. Good Decade is not responsible for packages sent to incorrect or outdated addresses.
If a package is undeliverable due to an incorrect address, we will not reship without an additional shipping payment.

wash cold, tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry. with laundering, our quilts gain texture and comfiness. do not iron minky items.
crib sheets
wash cold, do not bleach, tumble dry low. cotton items can be ironed on low. to prevent possible suffocation or entanglement, never use crib sheet unless it fits securely on crib mattress.
holiday pajamas
wash cold, do not bleach, tumble dry low or hang to dry. pajamas should fit snug.

machine wash cool water using mild, phosphate free detergent to minimize fading. item is not preshrunk. air dry to minimize shrinking.
